Items I’m Loving This Week is a series where I tell you about a handful of items, shows, books etc. I am currently loving.
Primark Logo Tee
I visited the local Primark last weekend, primarily because I’d watched a few Youtube hauls and was most intrigued with the beauty products on offer. As I made my way to the back of the store toward the beauty section, I walked past the stand with lots of logo tees. I felt a little overwhelmed and decided to grab the butterfly tee with the wording “Forever In My Heart 1998”. I love butterflies, so it ticked that box at the very least. I decided to size up as I pictured myself wearing it with boyfriend jeans and trainers (both of which I have yet to purchase). The tee feels decent considering I only paid £2.50! Yes, £2.50. I’m now questioning why I didn’t just buy more?!
H&M Gold Plated Disc Studs
I purchased these disc studs in October/November last year. They came as part of a pack of other stud designs and I ordered them online. I must admit, the delivery and subsequent customer service afterwards was disgraceful, but the studs themselves are simple and pretty and I like the look of them when worn. They are a great everyday earring and I’ve been wearing them a lot this week.
Primark PS… Strobing Highlighter Cream
This is the reason I visited my local Primark last weekend. I’m starting to experiment with my look and this includes my make-up. I’m not into a full face of makeup, but I do like the highlight/strobe look. I picked up the oyster pink option and I’m glad I did. I use the tiniest bit on the tops of my cheekbones, brow bones and a dab on the tip of my nose. It gives such a fresh appearance. I love it. Primark have such a variety of cosmetics and skincare products on offer. I was amazed. I will be going back to buy more items.
YesStyle Rose Gold Plated Roman Numeral Band with Rhinestones
This purchase was a random one. I was researching Korean beauty products and came across YesStyl.com. I spent ages adding items to my basket (more as a reminder really) and noticed that they had a jewellery section. I perused this section for about ten minutes and came across this rose gold-plated band. I decided to purchase it with minimal expectation. When it arrived, I was pleasantly surprised. It was delicate yet sturdy (!) and even better than the images depicted. I really like it and I receive so many compliments and enquiries when I wear it. Such a bargain buy.
Rodial Bee Venom Cleansing Balm
I’ve mentioned this product on my blog a few times before but wanted to mention it again as it really is a fantastic product. I use it as my morning cleanser as soon as I get out of bed. You apply it onto dry skin, massaging it into your face and neck. I leave it for a few moments as I set my morning bath and go downstairs to put on the kettle for my morning coffee. I then run my muslin cloth under warm water, squeeze out the excess water and then remove the balm using circular motions. The results are incredible, and you only need a small amount. The product is enriched with melittin peptide, jojoba oil and vitamins c and e. Melittin is the main peptide present in bee venom and the theory behind it being used in skincare is that it stimulates the effects of a bee sting. The venom increases blood flow which in turn stimulates collagen and elastin production, making the skin plumper in appearance creating a toned and smooth look. Jojoba oil contains antibacterial properties that help control bacterial growth in the hair follicle. It acts as an anti-inflammatory, soothing irritated skin and when used regularly can control acne. Pure jojoba oil is fully absorbed into the skin, leaving it feeling soft and smooth. Vitamin c is an ascorbic acid necessary for the growth, development and repair of body tissue. It is also involved in the formation of collagen. Vitamin e works to block free radicals from the body which play a part in the aging process!
