This week I discovered Nadine Baggot. Wow! I binged watched her videos on Youtube and learned so much regarding the actual science behind different ingredients and how to use them.
As I’ve mentioned in previous posts, I have overhauled my skincare routine in the last several months after neglecting it and relying solely on my good genes. However, this attitude resulted in dry, patchy and red skin which I hated, and which also made me feel self-conscious.
My current skincare routine is as follows:
Morning cleanse using the Rodial Bee Venom Cleansing Balm – this product is a balm to toner brightening formula with melittin peptide, jojoba oil and vitamins c and e.
I then apply the Boots Simply Sensitive Protecting Day Moisturiser with SPF15, using the tips of my fingers to massage it in using circular motions. Afterwards, I gently tap my fingers all over my face. I then apply either my Clarins Light Lip Oil or Nivea Original Lip Care.
In the evenings, I alternate between using the Boots Tea Tree & Witch Hazel with active Charcoal Daily Detox Facial Wash and the Purifying Cleansing Milk with Rosehip Oil. Both products are great. I use the Boots product when I want a deep cleanse after a long, long day. I use the cleansing milk on alternate days.
I follow this up with the Boots Cucumber Facial Toner and I must be honest, after using for several weeks I cannot see any benefits to my skin. And this is where Nadine Baggot entered my life. I searched “acid toners” on Youtube and voila! I found a Pandora’s box of wonderful goodies.
I will be writing a separate post on toners, as during my NB marathon I came across some products I really want to try out and give my opinion on.
I’ve had a few very early starts this week and as I sit and write this it’s Saturday morning, my skin feels dull and in need of reviving. I’ve followed my usual skin routine as above, but I just feel like a I need an extra step. I was going to use the Glam Glow Supermud, but then as I was rummaging in my room, I forgot that I had bought the new Garnier Moisture Bomb Super Hydrating Re Balancing Tissue Mask. So, I thought I’d give this a go and share my thoughts.
The product contains green tea extract, hyaluronic acid and hydrating glycerine. Ingredients I heard repeatedly from Nadine Baggot. The product claims to intensely hydrate, rebalance the skin and provide a clear appearance within 15 minutes. The benefits do not stop there. Within one week of using, your T zone appears matte, quality of the skin is improved, and pores appear less visible.
I placed the mask on my face and welcomed the cooling sensation. I found it easy to remove the protective film and to adjust the mask to the shape of my face. I decided to lie on my bed and listen to Gary Vee for 15 minutes. I could’ve stayed put for much longer. After my time was up I removed the mask and decided to massage the excess product into my skin (you can remove if you prefer). My skin felt extremely hydrated afterwards and I’d even say plump! This product did not disappoint, and I will be purchasing more masks as they do an entire range for differing skin issues.
Which products are you loving right now? Let me know in the comments 🙂
Thanks for reading my post.
